Celebrating the Summer of Quickscrews: Our First Woodworking Contest
This summer at Quickscrews, we wanted to do something different—something that spoke to the heart of our community. Starting back in May, we launched the Quickscrews Summer Woodworking Contest as a way to celebrate the season, the craft, and the incredible talent of woodworkers everywhere.
The idea was simple: summer is a time for being outside, working with your hands, and finally tackling those projects you’ve been dreaming about. Whether you’re a seasoned cabinetmaker or a weekend hobbyist, we wanted to see what you could create. We put up cash prizes, offered shout-outs to our favorite submissions, and waited to see what rolled in.
And wow—did you deliver.
We received dozens of entries from across the woodworking spectrum, everything from intricate desks and custom chairs to clever storage solutions, tables, cabinets, and even a water tower. Some projects were finished and ready for their close-up, while others were still works in progress—but all of them showed the creativity, skill, and dedication that makes this community so special.
For us, it wasn’t just about the final product. It was about the stories behind the builds—the long weekends in the shop, the problem-solving that comes with stubborn materials, and the pride of stepping back to admire something made with your own two hands. We spent more than a few afternoons in the Quickscrews office marveling at the details you all put into your work.
As summer 2025 winds down, we want to say thank you to everyone who took the time to participate. You helped us celebrate not just the season, but the craft itself. And judging by the response, this won’t be the last contest we host.
If you missed this round, don’t worry—keep an eye on our social media, subscribe to our email list, and check back at quickscrews.com. We’ve got more contests, spotlights, and woodworking features planned, and we’d love to see your work next time.
Here’s to the summer we spent building, sharing, and celebrating together. We hope you had as much fun making your projects as we did seeing them.
